Age Grade Rugby - Ages 5-18
​​We believe rugby should be accessible to everyone, so we offer all children the chance to come and try us out for a few weeks before any commitment is needed. It’s the perfect way for them to see what we’re about, meet the team, and get a real feel for the club.

Our club has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere where families and players alike become part of something special. Alongside rugby, we organise fun activities throughout the season to keep the spirit alive and the smiles wide.

At Amesbury RFC, we’re proud to offer age grade rugby for boys and girls. At the moment we are actively running from ages U6 to U12 but we are adding new age groups all the time if we have enough children in that age section. We welcome youngsters from across the community. These players are the future foundations of our club, and we’re committed to giving them the best possible start to their rugby journey.

Our sessions focus on fun, teamwork, and learning new skills in a safe, supportive environment. All sessions are run by qualified coaches who are passionate about helping children grow in confidence, make friends, and enjoy everything the game has to offer—on and off the pitch.

Rugby for Kids in Amesbury
Training times and location:
Minis rugby training in Amesbury will be every Sunday from 10:30am till mid-day at our club location.

Registering at first session:

Please ensure you see the coach running the session and register your child in with him.
​
We will require a parent name, mobile phone and email address so that we can keep in touch.
​
Joining (Affiliation):
If you wish your child to continue coming to Amesbury Rugby Club after a couple of weeks then you will be required to affiliate your child online. Details on how to do this can be found here
​
Medical information:
If your child has any medical conditions we should be aware of then please can you provide a written overview and hand to the coach.
What to bring:
Please ensure you bring plenty of water for your child to drink regardless of the weather.
During the season the weather will be very changeable so make sure your child has suitable clothing and change of clothing for the weather conditions.

If you are in any doubt then please ask your coach for details.
Membership:
Membership for the minis is just £55 for the year. The season runs from September to the end of April.
Can you help us run Minis Rugby?
Running minis and juniors requires a lot of people resources to ensure the quality of training and the safety of your children. Resources required include coaching, first aid, team administration and safeguarding. We even need someone to open the clubhouse and get the kettle on for watching parents.
